Law of Attraction – Resources

It is amazing how much has been written and is being written on the Law of Attraction.

I learn new things all of the time.

I recently did a search for more information and came up with a number of interesting sites.

The following are some quotes from these sites and the site URL if you want to check them out.

We are not our thoughts.

Once I understood how to harness the power of my subconscious mind, my ability to attract what I want took off like a rocket.

Once a day, find some quiet time where you won’t be disturbed for about 20 minutes. Close your eyes and intensely visualize all of those things that you want in your life. Don’t just “think” about them, “feel” them. Use your imagination to see, touch, taste, smell, and hear all of those positive changes, positive people, and positive events that you want to have in your life. The more “real” these visions seem, the greater the chances are of attracting them into your reality.

If your dream or goal doesn’t inspire you then when the going gets tough you’ll give up on those dreams. So make sure that you’re really revved up about what you’re going for.

Know what you really want. Far too often, people will have a long list of things that they complain about. They know all too well all of the things that they do not want. Yet, they have no idea as to how they would like their life if they could have it anyway. The Law of Attraction allows us to put some thought into this and figure out what we do want and allow our actions and the Universe to manifest it for us.

Surround yourself with encouraging people — Many people go through life complaining and looking at all that is wrong with the world. These people can be energy drains. A better approach is to find people who have already achieved your goals and befriend them. Look for a coach or mentor. Cut out negative influences and surround yourself with others who will support you.

You have to go beyond your perceptions. A lot of people are stuck with beliefs that are not empowering to them and what they want to attract. These beliefs can sneak up and sabotage you, causing you to fall far off track from what you want to see become YOUR reality.

The belief that you don’t know how and should know how to get something or how to make something happen inhibits the Power of the Universe, which KNOWS how. In other words, the thought that you don’t know how unconsciously narrows your focus.

Understand that you are ALWAYS “working with the energy,” 24/7. The law of attraction tells us that whatever you’re putting out there is being magnified, amplified and multiplied, so be mindful what you are thinking, saying and doing. Don’t invite anything you don’t want into your life by giving it attention. I sometimes have to remind myself, “Jon, what are you doing? Remember, you’re working with the energy right now[. Extra tip: make it a point to have fun as often as possible. That sends out a great vibe).

The  next step is to see if you actually believe that statement is true. If you are saying something like, “I will make more money”, but you lie through your teeth, then no matter what, it will not happen. When you believe in something, you give yourself the confidence to pursue it, setting up the circumstances which will bring about its fulfillment. Believing is the most important step. If you don’t know whether or not you believe, just listen to your heart.

Let Go – In order to allow good things to come to you, you have to feel good, inside and out. Its    time to take a good look at your life and evaluate whats working and whats not for you. If you have a big source of unhappiness, it might be time to let it go to allow more room in your life for greatness.

The more detailed the “picture” you have in your mind of what you want to achieve, the better. If you’re not the kind of person who can easily visualize things, write them down instead. Make what you write or imagine as detailed as possible.

The first step is to know what it is that you want, and clearly state it at least 3 times. By stating it 3 times, you are both clarifying the statement and committing it to memory. Next, take your statement, and turn it into a promise. For instance, if you want more money, try something like “I promise to make more money

Stop labeling yourself a “failure” — Everyone makes mistakes. The key is to learn from those mistakes rather than beat yourself up with all of the shoulda, woulda, couldas. You are not a failure. Maybe the action you took or failed to take didn’t work out — but failing is part of the learning process. Those who are most successful failed many times before they got to where they are today.
